The Fried Egg Golf Podcast returns with a two-part episode previewing the final men's major of 2026! First, Andy Johnson is joined by Kevin Van Valkenburg and Joseph LaMagna to discuss the biggest storylines heading into the Open Championship at Royal Birkdale. They take stock of where both Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler sit heading into the last major of the year, wonder if Cameron Young's putting will return to its early-2026 form, make their picks to win, and more. Andy then chats with Fried Egg Golf contributor Darragh Garrahy about the history of this year's Open Championship venue and the recent course changes made ahead of the tournament.

About the Hosts

Andy Johnson

Founder Andy Johnson started Fried Egg Golf in 2015 by answering his own question: What if we made golf architecture approachable? In looking at an entire golf course holistically, Fried Egg Golf brings another dimension to the game and fills a gap in golf coverage.
