It was a busy week in these parts! If you missed our live virtual hangout on Tuesday morning, we posted the video and audio HERE. Also, make sure to check out this month’s member video, which is about what it takes to maintain Sand Hills Golf Club.
Your weekly question
Earlier this week, Dream Golf announced Rodeo Dunes, a new destination golf resort in Colorado. The lead developers are Mike Keiser’s sons Michael and Chris, and the first 18-hole course will be designed by Jimmy Craig, a longtime Coore & Crenshaw associate. Construction will begin this summer on a dramatic duneland property near Roggen, Colorado—about an hour from downtown Denver and 35 minutes from the Denver International Airport. A second course, designed by Coore & Crenshaw, is expected to break ground later this year. Derek Duncan had an informative writeup on the project for Golf Digest.
Let’s discuss.
What do you make of this news? How does the land look to your eye? Are you excited about the hiring of Craig, a well-respected builder who has not yet gotten a shot at a solo design? What do you think will be distinctive about Rodeo Dunes among Dream Golf properties? If you’ve had past experiences at Dream Golf resorts, what have your reactions been? Should it be pronounced RO-dee-oh or ro-DAY-oh?
Have at it.
We ain’t got nothing but time and Ro-DAY-oh on our mind. Thanks for your staunch support of The Fried Egg.
