Yeah, I've heard through the grapevine that Beau is a secret HG2 admirer. Come on, Beau! There's nothing to be ashamed of.

Miracle on Ice! I can hear Herb Brooks saying “again” in my dreams. Iconic movie, iconic game, impeccable timing.

I didn't feel it was right to subject Jimmy to my full dissertation on golf movies, which contains a chapter on how Caddyshack lays out a recipe for an alliance between the working class (Danny Noonan), the nouveau riche (Al Czervik), the disaffected aristocracy (Ty Webb), and anarchism (Carl Spackler). Suffice it to say that I think Happy Gilmore 2 represents a betrayal of the Revolution. Anyway, while I stand by my top five of Rocky, Hoosiers, Breaking Away, Bull Durham, and Major League, I do regret not putting Breaking Away at #1 because that's honestly how I feel. I also wish I had remembered to mention Tour de Pharmacy and 7 Days in Hell, which are extremely funny. Creed is great, too. And Kingpin. The 70s-90s was probably the never-to-be-replicated peak of the sports movie, but within the past couple of years I've enjoyed Hustle and Challengers.

Interesting. I think past meeting transcripts would say otherwise

I know this was a favorite sports movies prompt but I'm sticking to golf. My golf movie Mount Rushmore only contains three movies: - Tin Cup - Happy Gilmore (definitely not riding for Happy Gilmore 2 like Will Knights does) - Caddy Shack If I'm really desperate I'll mess around with The Legend of Bagger Vance or Dead Solid Perfect but there's a vast drop off after my first three.

I’ll watch anything they make together. When I first saw Creed I leaned over to my wife and said, “Rocky 7 has no business being this good!”

Creed is legit. Ryan Coogler and Michael B. Jordan are fantastic when they work together.

Given the story, the soundtrack, and some of the iconic quotes, Remember The Titans has always been my favorite movie, sports or otherwise. A not-distant 2nd though: Hoosiers Others in considerations: We Are Marshall Angels In The Outfield Caddyshack The Sandlot I have a soft spot for McFarland USA as well
