I believe there is a 9 hole walking only course. Haven’t played it but it’s always intrigued me as potentially a more enjoyable round than the other Disney courses.

Beau! I expected better from you, my friend. No time like the present ;) But yes, Garrett’s podcast on Jasper was a great listen. There is an opinion amongst Canadian’s that our “top-10” courses have quite some variability. Some say Cabot is undisputed, others say Jasper should be #1. While in Banff last winter I took a slightly snow-covered walk around Banff Springs and loved it, however the re-routing they completed is a travesty (imo). Would highly recommend Banff as a ski destination though!

Hi Jarrett, I'm a member of a big UK based society called the RACDG for The Royal & Ancient Company of Dishonorable Golfers. We're about 500-600 on a big WhatsApp community with different chats based on regions, there's a bunch of people in Scotland and we organise events every year (such as the Mack in April which will be at Carnoustie next year, the Cock of the North in Kintyre etc...). I called the pro and he let me out by myself. I missed out on mid am qualifier that got rained out and he was happy to let me out on a weekend morning non the less. Though the pro is retiring after 2025 and will have a new one next year. Everyone there was very friendly.

I think it would be awesome if our Carton had enough interest to merit monthly meetups at some of the better public courses around the area (Sleepy Hollow, Manakiki & Fowler’s seem like solid options). It would be great to vary the geographic area so everyone could participate without always having a long commute. And if we get there, it would be cool to challenge other Cartons in Ryder Cup style competitions. I see a lot of potential here and am happy to help with coordinating some of the activities as we get to the planning stages.

Dye Walk is private but if you put in a call, I bet you could get out. It was the first course that Pete Dye built, not sure what shape it is in today, but there certainly is some history there.
