Notable Players to Miss the Cut at the 2026 PGA Championship
The Gang Misses the Cut

Not everyone will be playing on the weekend at the 2026 PGA Championship. There are too many hijinks and misgivings happening around Philadelphia for everyone to play all 72 holes. Here’s why some of the players are leaving Aronimink early.

Bryson DeChambeau (76-71) had a full day of Charlie Work. He had to 3D print his irons, grow the game, and deal with the rats stuck in glue traps. How was he expected to make the cut with a full workload?!
In another prominent appearance, Michael Block (70-75) completed the D.E.N.N.I.S. System, including the final piece of Separating Entirely from the tournament.
Afraid of getting in contention (and of Mac’s dad), Tommy Fleetwood suffered a concussion while faking his death and stumbled to the wrong side of the cutline with a Friday 73.

Shane Lowry (68-76) tried to act up and change his way, but his paranoia got the best of him. Instead of finding Pepe Silvia, he found the hosel on the way to his third MC in his last five major championship starts.
He knew the rules, and yet Tyrrell Hatton (72-74) refused to pay the troll toll to get into the weekend. He’ll be heading home early in just his second major championship missed cut since 2022.
While playing CharDee MacDennis, the game of games, Garrick Higgo (69-76) got sent to time jail. He attempted to eat all the ingredients of a cake to get out of the dog kennel but six bogeys in an eight-hole span couldn’t save him from his own mistakes.
The latest lashing out incident in recent years, Wyndham Clark (75-70) will be sat alongside Frank during the gang’s next intervention. (Canned wine remains a good idea).
