This month’s* Club TFE member video takes us to Scotland with James Duncan, a golf architect and longtime associate of Coore & Crenshaw. Duncan, who has been leading their Brambles project in Middletown, California, has pulled a lot of inspiration for that course from the classic links of Great Britain and Ireland.
On a recent visit to Brambles, I spent some time chatting with Duncan about North Berwick and figured he’d be a great person to narrate a video on the course. Half Danish and half Scottish, he has a long history with the town as well as the West Links, and his fondness for the place really shines through.
Although there’s plenty of architecture talk weaved in, this is more of a video essay. Let us know in the comments whether you enjoyed it, because we think it might be a fun way to show off how people connect with certain courses.
Thanks for watching and for supporting Club TFE.
*I’m behind again! (I’ve already started on October’s member video, so rest assured that one will actually be released in October.)
