Weekend Chat: Most Beautiful Landscape You’ve Played Golf In?

I am writing this post late on Thursday night. We were planning to drop our first look at events for 2024 but have decided to hold back for one week to get a few more completely buttoned up. So next week will bring both the Ryder Cup and a first look at some of the exciting 2024 Fried Egg Golf events we have planned.

Club TFE housekeeping

We have a handful of spots left in our Maiden Member Guest at the Meadow Club in Fairfax, California. The event is October 30th and we will have our entire team out to spend the day at the idyllic first American design of Alister MacKenzie. On top of a day of golf, we will have a dinner the night before and the town of Fairfax has two live music options, every night. Sign up here.

What is the most beautiful landscape you have played golf in?

Personally, this is on my mind after playing The Preserve this week. Is it my favorite golf course? No. Is it my favorite setting I’ve played in… maybe? It’s effectively golf in a national park.

For your song, here’s “Red Eyes” by the War on Drugs. I’m in a crazy travel stretch and whenever I think about travel, I think about this song. For much of 2022, the War on Drugs was my go-to plane playlist and this song just reminds me of running around the country.
