Good morning, ladies and germs,
As always, it’s a beautiful day to be a Club TFE member. Well, unless you’re cold and stuck outside at TPC Scottsdale, that might not be fun. Speaking of, we have a fun comment section on deck today. Get on down there.
Club TFE Housekeeping
We’ve got some events coming up for registration on Tuesday! Club TFE early registration begins at 1:00 p.m. ET on February 13 for The Maize at Wakonda Club, the Club TFE Iowa Road Trip, The Steamshovel at Lawsonia Links, and the Club TFE Steamshovel add-on at The Lido and Sedge Valley. We’ll also have some news soon about the Club TFE Member-Guest. Stay tuned. Don’t forget to use code events2024 to access Club TFE events in the pro shop.
Andy, Garrett, and Cameron were in Arizona this week working on a special project that we’re excited to release later this year.
Your weekly question
Today’s question originated in the mind of Club TFE member Nate Carr. In this week’s Tour Guide about the WM Phoenix Open, Nate asked “Should this tournament change its format to create a coliseum ending?” After 72 holes, Nate wants all players to gather at the 16th tee to play the final three holes again to decide the champion. If you wanted to keep the total number of holes at 72, what if anyone within two shots of the lead through the 15th on Sunday held back and waited to play the final three together?
To be clear, this would never happen, but it is a fun though exercise on how to ensure an exciting finish. Obvious issues arise because of it, but I’m curious as to what everyone thinks about the idea of manufactured drama. Drop a note below.
While this week’s Grammys performance was amazing, Tracy Chapman’s 1988 singing of “Fast Car” at Wembley Stadium still brings chills.
