Easy solution - TFE staff has a fantasy football league and we build the winning hole in the last place person’s yard (or their parents yard for PJ)

Agreed. Could be a nice annual event, even if the opportunity to actually have the hole created doesn't present itself every year!

Im not even talking about playability on Woodlands, the Links back 9 would be awesome if got rid of trees hiding the lake views lol

I'm not talking entire property (which I know you're not inferring). Yes a few for lake views would be great. Especially 3 Woodlands. But there are soooo many trees back there. He'll I'd settle for the some left of 1, front left of 2, and overhang one on 8. I do think 10 could be a fun driveable 4 with removal rather than hybrid wedge.

Yes, it still needs some tree removal, but it is worth playing one round on a weekend trip. Maybe after they finish the links they can work on a few of the abandoned tee's. I tell my Minnesota people it is on par with the Brainard lakes stuff and why not change up the trip, so play it once but play the rest on the links.

I agree Mike, it's a better course than people think and it's a good compliment to the Links.

I have no issues with Woodlands, I am baffled by the people who say they think they'd play 8-2 Woodlands over links however. My hottest take is that while it might ruin the name woodlands, removing the trees around the Woodlands holes to give lake views while on the Lawsonia back 9 would elevate the course

I'll slightly stick my neck out slightly for Woodlands. The course was rather terrible, tight and overly penal. Widening of some fairways and removal of unecessary bunkers has gone a long way. They could still do a lot tree removal. Not saying I'd choose it over Links but it's worth a round if you have time since its kind of a polar opposite. Over 10 rounds I'd go Links 8 Woodlands 2. Played the front tees last year to switch it up and actually had a blast.
