Oh very interesting question. While I absolutely love many of the holes, I don't think Bandon Dunes is a very good golf course in totality. I don't love all the catch basins, containment mounding and disjointed routing. That said, you can really see the design prowess grow from Bandon, his rookie effort, to Mammoth Dunes, which might be the finest course ever built. I don't know if I would say that the Rawls course is Doak's best course, but the fact he built it from a flat barren piece of land is incredible. It's also public and affordable, I think it should be talked about more.

Love it! Will encourage others to reach out to local cartons too. Depending on how much time you have on your hands I'm very curious to see the Pfau Course at Indiana University. It looks massive and potentially too much but I've heard pretty solid things about it

Well Beau... I've seen 4 DMK designs and I think Mammoth might be my least favorite. It's a toss up between that and Tetherow but a very small pool to pick from.

This seems like a post that has the potential to get chippy. I LOVE IT! All I know is that nobody better say Mammoth is DMK's weakest unless you want to set off an explosive chain reaction of comments.

Old Barnwell and Lido also the two for me - maybe I just love ambitious Schneider projects!

I think Old Barnwell is the favorite for me. Combining the course design itself with general philosophy of the club helps to set it apart. Looking at Matt's list though is a reminder of how many good options there are.
