I prefer Sand Hollow of the two. Black Desert is more visually stimulating throughout but Garrett and I found the front nine at SH to be really solid from a design standpoint. 12-15 at SH are the most dramatic holes at either course. Additionally, the natural red sand bunkers help make the course feel like an extension of the natural environment versus BD which feels like a TPC course (smooth lines and white sand bunkers) dropped on top of a lava field. Plus I think SH is like half the price of BD. Both are worth seeing once imo, if you go to SH play the 9 hole links course. Well worth it.

Tot Hill Farm does not get the respect it deserves, I think many people played it prior to the reno and it was in rough shape so they keep that opinion. Hot take; it could be my favorite course in the Pinehurst region.

I played on Saturday and it started less than ideal but got a lot better in the afternoon. And Arrowhead is awesome!

To get better quality golf around here in the public setting I think the hour drive is probably about right!

Sounds like we need to have a local meet up out at Persimmon Ridge!

How spicy is chili oil? I'm kind of a delicate flower.
