I'm a big Chili Dipper fan. Usually a big cup 4 person best shot with good chili on a cool day. Superintendents revenge is a close 2nd. We have a few creative sups at courses that do more than just back tees and tough pins.

Really enjoyed the discussion, really got me thinking about the evolution of public courses in central Florida. The challenges faced by many community courses that were built by housing developers to sell homes but then struggled to survive is very common. Two points that I’d like to emphasize locally, are the impact of indoor simulator clubs and Top Golf enabled ranges, which have been huge in this area. Top Golf itself is languishing but these ranges coupled with the food and beverage offered are flourishing. One last item, while the cost of golf has increased and inhibits many young or new golfers from joining, a bright spot here is Spark golf leagues and the way they offer a fun and low stress community competition. Interesting the use of Flagstick on the putting surfaces. Not that there is anything wrong with it, but we see it more in the fairway/approach areas as the leaf is slightly bigger than some of the finer bents that are available. 007XL is about as bulletproof of a bentgrass as there is. Super drought tolerant as far as bents go.

Brett, I'll echo what Michael and Beau have said but any and all are welcome. Glad to hear Michael feels the kind of vibe we're trying to put out. The competition element exists but you're welcome to take it as seriously as you please. We want you to have fun first and foremost!

Would love to involve it someway in the future. Need to get a little market research and see if we could get a full field out there but we certainly need to spend some time in the region!

Agreed with Michael. Don't worry about your level of game. Just show up and enjoy the day. If you're grooving then post a number but if you're off your game just scoop your ball and move on to the next hole. The events are 95% fun / 5% competition (only so we can give away fun prizes).
