Great podcast. Would love to hear Garrett’s thoughts on the state of the game from an overall perspective. Certainly more people are playing now, which is great for many stakeholders in golf, and some great architecture is being built. But it seems like, from an accessibility front, it may be trending in the opposite direction. I know it was touched on a little, but it seems like in most major metro areas the public golf scene is getting increasingly busy and expensive. For me in Philly, the private golf is great and I am lucky to play it from time to time, but most people have few options close to the city that are public. Courses like Jeffersonville and Paxon Hollow are awesome, but can be pretty challenging to get good tee times and are 30+ minutes from the city. Walnut Lane is a fun executive course just outside the city, and Cobbs Creek is an exciting possibility, but besides that there isn’t much, and it seems like many other cities are in a similar situation. I feel like situations like this make it pretty challenging for people to get into the game, and I am not sure there is an easy solve, but would love to hear thoughts.
