Is the David's Cypress book going to be sold everywhere or just in the clubhouse?

Please ensure that I am notified if there's a FEGC Trip to SV in 2026. I'm not thrilled I missed the 2025 version.

Great write-up on Cobb's Creek. it's going to be very interesting to see how that pans out and if us locals can get on!

Great selection. On SV 9 I've made a 2 (lip out ace) and an in my pocket put me down for a 7. I still havent figured out how to play Sanbox 13. Tough to hold front of the green on a front pin, next time I'm hitting putter. Also nice to hear a compliment on Mammoth 😝.

Fortunately it wasn't too long ago. At the end of June my wife and I went on a trip to Bandon with our 11 month old son. My son started walking the first day we were at the resort. It was a blast watching him learn how to walk at the Punchbowl. It was rad to sit back and think about how special the moment was in a place we love so much.

1. Playing Hazeltine National with my dad. We attended the 2002 & 2009 PGAs while I was growing up, so getting to play the course together was a really special round for both of us. 2. My wife and I played Meadow Club in November 2023. It was a quiet afternoon at the club, perfect weather, and at times it felt like we were the only two on property. She broke 50 for the first time ever on the front side, and we were playing the back nine during golden hour. It was a picture perfect round with my favorite partner.

As others have said, too many stories to list, but a couple this year: Played Pebble in May with my favorite foursome. It was a late afternoon Sunday tee time, so we knew it would be a long round, but that was just fine -- I've never been less annoyed to play a 5 hour round. Plenty of time to take as many pics as we wanted, hit extra balls, and just soak it all in. Hit the 18th tee at the magic hour on a clear day but for the marine layer, where we all hit solid drives. Felt a little dusty on the tee. As I said to my buddies, it's just golf FFS, but there isn't a better reminder of how lucky we are to get to be here and enjoy it with friends. Just a few weeks ago played the Classic in Minnesota with my son for the first time; again a late afternoon tee time. Few better ways to spend time with your kid. Play was slow again so we took our time, played poison on the tee boxes on a perfect August Friday, had dinner on the patio and laughed at the putts at the truly mean pin position on the ninth. Wouldn't trade it for anything.

A lot of responses here are fantastic, and hosted at some spectacular courses! I’ve been lucky enough to have a few this year, following a solo golf trip to the Carolina’s that included the TFE event at Broomsedge, The Tree Farm, and Pinehurst 2, 4, and 10. With that being said, I think these special moments can come from anywhere. For example, the first moment that came to my mind was none of the above incredible courses, but a little semi-private course in a quiet, golf-crazy town. In all honesty, this course is nothing to write home about. It’s located in a small town I visit often in the summer in Eastern Ontario, Canada, with a population of just 5,000. It’s just about 6,100 yards from the tips, and only requires I hit driver maybe 3-4 times a round. With last weekend being the Club Championship, I found myself in a tie for the lead after a 74 in Round 1. With that relatively strong play, I found myself in the final group on Sunday, which is when my moment occurred. Standing on the 8th green, having birdied two of the last three holes, I took a look around and noticed just how quiet it was. For a facility who’s tee sheet is typically full from dawn to dusk, having this realization, and the realization that my play earned the opportunity, really struck a chord. What a fun game we get to play amongst nature, with the chance to flex our competitive muscles (both physical and mental). While I didn’t get off to a great start, I was able to go out in +1… The only problem? The person I was tied with had me by 5 by that point! ;) Hope you’re all enjoying a fantastic Labour Day on the course somewhere!

A few occured on recent trip to Wisconsin and especially at Sand Valley where we had three different experiences of feeling like had the resort to ourselves.. Playing Sandbox as a one club challenge after a rain delay, so no one else was on the course, and we had the entire course to ourselves. As last group off Sedge Valley as a twosome, we let the group in front go pretty quickly so couldn't see anyone on any adjacent holes, closed down the turn shack finishing some hand pies, just a magical afternoon. And the best, had our second Lido round of the trip on a day that looked like it would be very wet, starts downpouring right as we arrive at the pro shop, and then other groups walk of the course and we are told the other twosome isn't coming. As we get to first tee, the rain stops, the clouds part, and there is not a soul on the golf course we can see. Having the entire afternoon to play Lido as our own personal playground was just amazing.

Enjoyed the shout out for Buffalo Dunes. I live in the Kansas City area and it's been on my list since TFE podcast talked to the super about the project there. But who goes to Garden City? Had the opportunity to play in a tournament there this week and it is elite. The new greens are great. Quite a challenge. Anyway, enjoy the podcast. Keep up the good work.
