I always appreciate the depth of your thought on golf tournaments, courses, and players.

Will the documentary series on Cobbs Creek Golf Club re-air or be online so where?

Recently visited Wild Horse as well the last day in May. Can confirm as well that the short course is well on its way to going in. The rough shaping has already been done with some bunkers mostly built. Spoke briefly with the head pro Justin who confirmed plan is for 5-7 holes by Axland and Proctor, they expect seed will go down around Labor Day. Location is between the clubhouse and #10, previous native area and where the old short game areas used to be. Of note, they also plan to expand the clubhouse and were already framing some new lodging that should add 8 rooms.

What is the status on the Cobbs Creek restoration, will it be rebuilt in the next couple years?

Got to play here on way to St George, Utah, golf trip. Tracked with your review. Great green sites, easy walking, and challenging. Was great way to kick off the trip. Thank you bringing it to my attention.

Double green 2 and 16? Very exciting news for Old Barnwell. Anyone who got in there early is like a Warren Buffett of picking memberships.

I don't think Oakmont would have needed 5" rough if conditions hadn't been so wet. That let players stop the ball close to the landing spot on greens and made fairways play a lot wider. A firm and fast Oakmont doesn't need 5" of rough.

Really appreciated showing the strategic value of this course passed not hitting it in the rough.

With the Canadian Grand Prix happening this weekend, I found the racing reference very relevant. But yes, Gil crushed it with bringing this design feature back. Loved seeing the scatter-plot image on this hole!

These scatterplot posts are awesome and give me something to watch for the next day. Would love to see these again at Portrush!
