The idea was to have a U.S. Open venue draft for this month's virtual hangout. While that mostly occurred, we ran into a few rules changes and curveballs along the way. Thank you to everyone who tuned in live and submitted questions! We'll see you all again next month.

5 total picks per person

2 picks from future announced venues (Merion, Pinehurst No. 2, Oakmont, Shinnecock Hills, Oakland Hills, The Country Club, Los Angeles CC North, Pebble Beach, Riviera, and Winged Foot)

1 Rota Reject (course that has hosted U.S. Open since 1975 but isn't scheduled for another)

1 Antiquity (course that hosted a U.S. Open prior to 1975 and isn't scheduled for another)

1 Wild Card (eventually, any other course you want)

Golf was a big part of my upbringing as I grew up with a PGA Professional as a dad. I went to the course with him in the morning, helped out in the pro shop, caddied, and ultimately played golf in college before helping out in the early days of Fried Egg.
