Definitely a must play if driving north to play at Lawsonia or Sand Valley. I've played some top 100 courses which I can't remember 9 holes. Three years after playing Eagle Springs I can remember all 9 holes.

Having worked at a golf course one summer in college (best job I've ever had), I am extremely jealous of the grounds crew -- must be an absolute blast every summer. Awesome video. Going to be making a side trip next time I'm in Madison/MKE during the warm weather months. The greens look fantastic.

This is one of the great surprises I have had. I knew about the first and second holes but everything after that was a mystery to me. The 3rd isn't anything to write home about but the holes after that are a delight! I was amazed at 4 and from there the hits keep coming. What a fun place and a true bargain.

This is a reasonable line in the sand.

The enshittification of the world continues apace. Sigh.

Golf is better the more variance there is in the purposes and design of golf courses (amongst other variables too). I don't see too many negatives with this endeavour. I lived in London for fives years and I never even heard of this place, but I bet after it is complete and the inevitable announcement of it hosting a future Ruder Cup will encourage lots of golfers to jump on train and go play it. Now, I imagine what this place will offer it not my idea of a fun day out on the course but it is too many others, especially to the many casual golfers in London, and that's cool.

I got the chance to play here today and even with recently punched greens, 20 mph winds and 45 degree temps it was an absolute treat. What a wonderful course.
