Great breakdown and recommendations! Get up there every year for at least a round or two. Side ones. I agree, Sandbox afternoons are tough now. Mornings are great warm up though, empty and if you play ace, birdie or pickup you fly. Andy is dead on about the lakes. Take a dip after rounds or between rounds. They are usually cool and very refreshing. They joked about Wisc Dells at the end but it has a few hits. Ishnala Supper Club is 10/10. Devils Lake is a fantastic hiking spot. Paul Bunyans Cook Shanty for breakfast or even just a dozen sugar donuts is 🤤. Wild Rock is a good golf option and 12North par 3 was fun at Trappers (forget regular Trappers). If you do fly to Madison check out Glen Golf Park. Keiser invested 9 hole muni that was shaped by the best in the biz while they were doing SV courses. Lastly. They have great winter events. Took my wife to a Wim Hof wellness retreat and now she understands why I love to come up here so often.

Great read, Joseph! Love the more in-depth data look into the event. Very interesting to see how the team skill dynamics have narrowed closer and closer since 2018. Would be interesting to see this from a visual perspective, like a histogram or box and whisker plot. The curves have likely gotten closer, but I wonder if the spreads amongst team are different?

If the US needs money to be motivated to play, they are not going to beat the side that doesn't.

Great recap in the lead-up to this week! This feels like a big time question of approach play. The greens are decent sized and not very intricate. Let's see if team USA comes out ready to play!

Couldn't agree more. The land is spectacular, the project is ambitious and funding is there but I'm concerned how local play may not be a big piece of the puzzle

Chocolate Drops Iowa Hawkeyes Golf Course Reimagined

I'm slowly but surely chipping off a bunch. Posted a few so far on Insta and X. Shameless plug Driftless Golf. Some are truely historic architecturally and interesting. Others are cheap, open and fun.

I would love to see the 9 hole golf courses of Iowa featured. No state has more of them.
