Louisville, KY Folks!
32, married, 2 kids (3 and almost 2 years old). No interest in fighting (unless you pronounce the city lewisville/louie-ville!) Always looking to connect with fellow FEGC members!
I also do some traveling for work and love to meet up for a round when I am out on the road!

What would Myrtle Beach have to do to make a comeback for a golf destination?
Myrtle Beach used to be considered the golf capital of the world. Not so much anymore. I am certain that many in here have been there before. What would Myrtle Beach need to do to bring you back?

Catching up on some podcasts while flying home from Disney today: I was listening to this week's SZD tasting menu, and I audibly laughed when RJ dropped a 32/no kids/NIIF at the end of his FL/UGA preview.

Headed to Disneyworld next week with the family. I have one day where I might be able to sneak in an early 9 holes. Is anything at Disney (would have to be on property or very close) worth cashing in spousal good will?

Based on my experience in other golf forums, Canada usually has its own region, so we’ll cast a wide net to start out! :)
I’m in Toronto, near the epicenter of some of our nation’s best golf (St. George’s, Lambton, Weston, Islington, etc.). While our season is unwinding, would love to see my fellow Canucks get active here over the winter months (misery loves company).
While Canada is sometimes overlooked from an architectural standpoint, we have some of the highest golf participation rates anywhere in the world! Would highly recommend a trip up here, especially at current FX rates.

Great take - first and foremost he is a gamer. Winning 90 junior tournaments in Texas says it all. He is there for the competition - let's not forget his takedown of Rahm at Whistling Straits was the start of the roll that continues to this day

This happened to the course our team practiced at when i was in high school. Hopefully they can repair them soon. I think in the case near me, the person who messed up didnt work for the golf club so it was a pretty decent lawsuit/settlement the course got.

A few months ago i posted about how i found the episodes that predate what is available on Apple Podcasts. Looks like they’re taken down now (i blame Will) but there were a ton of great moments on there. The berry henson interview was great and just the origin of so many nicknames and running bits. I’ll always love the episodes where the audio is horrendous and the bacon and egg pods are always great. Rotisserie chicken discourse was a great moment. The live show ad read about unexpected showers with Ecco and the piss bear is probably my all time favorite. Walk up music, Halloween costumes, the original in out alternate.

I don’t think many would drive to Windsor, even though it is the most Southern part of Southern Ontario. But if someone wanted to drive from Windsor to where we may be playing, we’d love that!
No dates or course have been set, but if we want play somewhere early June, decisions need to be made.

Best Spots To Watch Golf At Aronimink

I was there for the Monday practice round. As Dan mentioned, the top of the 16 grandstand is a good one. If you climb the grandstand behind 7 green, you should get a very wide vista--2 green, 8 tee to the left and 11, 16 and 15 to the right. 9 and 18 greens are right next to each other and you can watch play on both from one spot.

What is Oak Hill West like? I ask because the best of Oasis has to be their extensive B side collection that is better than the mainstream stuff. I am not sure if maybe Baltusrol fits that bill, or if we can wedge Winged Foot in there on the backs of 1997.

What you are saying is that Baltusrol would be better with a rollback (Master of Puppets). Once the ProV/ProVx came on the scene it just wasn't the same (Load/ReLoad).

Helluva pick for Harding Park given that the one time I played it I was randomly paired with the drummer from DMB.
Absolute golf tragic, Carter. He'd already played 18 and was heading out to go around the front 9 again. His PA was with him (and trying to make sure he got to Oakland for the MNF game in time) and started trying to get him to leave around the 7th. He wouldn't go. Insisted on playing through 9. Then wanted another shot at the 10th, a long par 5 that plays well away from the clubhouse. Then he saw 11 was just a par 3 and he played that one too. Finally he relented and was off. Gotta love the commitment to the game.

You have a great list. A few other recommendations. If you want to see and be seen (and drink great wine) go to Ashes and Diamonds. Chateau Montelena Winery (Calistoga) is famous as the winery that broke through in winning the 1976 Judgment of Paris. It's a lot, but its cool. Bennett Lane Winery has great cabs.
A few other places that I cannot recommend highly enough: Smith Madrone (Napa), Valley Swim Club (Sonoma), El Molino Central (Sonoma).

Gotts is a must. Farmstead is the only other of those that I’ve been to but it’s great as well
