Paulie’s Picks: 2026 World Wide Technology Championship
Paulie looks at two picks to keep an eye on this week at the Tiger-designed venue in Mexico

The PGA Tour stays in Mexico this week as it heads to Cabo San Lucas for the 2026 World Wide Technology Championship, held once again at El Cardonal at Diamante. The Tiger Woods-designed course is the epitome of resort-style golf. It is extremely open off the tee with minimal bunkering and large, expansive greens. There will not be as much of an emphasis on driving distance as there was last week.
We will also see a large percentage of greens hit due to their size, which deemphasizes the importance of chipping and pitching. Overall, there is an extreme importance on approach play, with a slight emphasis on putting. Let’s take a look at a couple of the best iron players in the field:
Blades Brown: Top 30, -115
Blades Brown ranks second in this field in approach. He has finished inside the top 30 in six of his last seven PGA Tour starts dating back to May. Most of those events are of similar field strength to this week. With only 120 players in the field, I fully expected a price near -160 for Brown to finish in the top 30.
Ben Kohles: Top 30, +106
I’m not gonna lie, it felt really weird writing this article last week without Ben Kohles in the field. But don’t worry, he is back in the field this week, and yes, I am betting him. He once again is extremely undervalued and I can’t pass up an opportunity to profit on his excellent metrics. The case for Kohles this week is pretty simple: he leads this field in overall approach play and has finished in the top 30 in each of his last 11 PGA Tour starts. I will keep riding this money train until his price is correctly adjusted upward.
