With the season's 2nd major on tap, here's who Paulie likes at Bethpage.

This week Bethpage Black hosts the PGA Championship, the second major of the year. Yes, it feels awkward writing that sentence, but the course should be a stern test at this late-spring date. The rough is up, and the greens will be firm because they haven’t been aerated in a long time. With the significant rains over the past month, the course will play soft and long off the tee. Players with high ball flights and long carry distances off the tee will have an advantage. Overall, this should be a hotly contested championship, and many players will have a shot. Let’s take a look at some players to consider for DraftKings and One-and-Done Leagues.

DraftKings

Paul Casey $8,300

Casey might go very under-owned after his missed cuts at the Players and Masters. He is one of the best overall ball-strikers in the game and should have one of the highest GIR percentages in the field. At $8,300, he provides great consistency with upside for a top-10 finish.

Gary Woodland $7,700

Woodland has said that this course suits his eye, which is important to note. Being able to step up to a tee in a major and feel comfortable is a big advantage. With the course playing very long, his length off the tee combined with his accuracy with his mid to long irons should yield success. He is a smart pivot off of similar priced players like Sergio Garcia.

One-and-Done

If you are near the top of your league and have Brooks Koepka or Dustin Johnson left, those are the guys to choose this week. (If you have both, save DJ for the U.S. Open at Pebble Beach.) On the other hand, if you are behind in your standings or don’t have Koepka or Johnson left, consider players like DeChambeau, Schauffele, Fleetwood, or Cantlay—all great fits for this course.
