Paulie's Picks: Best Longshot Odds at the 2025 PGA Championship

We already took a look at a few of the favorites for the 2025 PGA Championship and previewed what was needed to succeed at Quail Hollow. I do expect one of the top players to win this week and would be surprised if a player beyond 40/1 odds won the event, so if you like playing longshots, I suggest placing bets on top 10s or top 20s instead of bets to win. Here are a few players with deeper odds worthy of consideration:

Min Woo Lee: Top 20 +260

Min Woo Lee ranks inside the top 20 in both driving distance and putting. He has played in 14 majors and finished 27th or better in eight of them. If he has just a field-average week with his irons, he will likely be in contention.

Maverick McNealy: Top 20 +300

Maverick McNealy is an above-average putter and drives the ball longer than the PGA Tour average. Since his maiden win in November at the RSM Classic, he has six top-10 finishes in 13 events. A good finish this week could help him gain a spot at Bethpage this fall for the Ryder Cup.

Keith Mitchell: Top 20 +400 

Keith Mitchell comes into the event on the heels of his third straight top-20 finish. He ranks top 10 in driving distance but is outside the top 100 in putting, but has gained strokes in each of his last four events with the flatstick. He has also finished eighth or better in two of his last three starts at Quail Hollow. I also would not be opposed to a first-round leader bet or a first-round top 10 bet for Mitchell.

Jake Knapp: Top 20 +600

Jake Knapp ranks in the top 25 in both putting and driving distance. He is a highly volatile player, but his aggressiveness should pay dividends at Quail Hollow. He already has three top-20 finishes in 13 starts in 2025, including the Players, which has a similar strength field to the PGA Championship.

Phil Mickelson Top 20 +700

Phil Mickelson has historically played very well at Quail Hollow, finishing 12th or better in 10 of his 14 starts. He is an above-average putter and Quail Hollow allows him to “hit bombs,” play aggressively, and recover from errant shots. He has shown flashes of solid play this year to warrant a +700 bet to finish in the top 20 this week.
