Paulie’s Picks: 2026 RBC Canadian Open at TPC Toronto
Paulie takes a trip north of the border and comes away with two notable wagers

The PGA Tour is north of the border this week for the RBC Canadian Open, held for the second consecutive year at TPC Toronto. Similar to last year, the course is expected to play soft with rain in the forecast for most of the tournament. Last year’s event turned into an iron and putting competition, with decreased importance on metrics off the tee and around the green. So if we are expecting a similar setup this week, who should we target? Let’s take a look at a couple of the best in-form players in those areas:
Sam Burns: Top 20, -110
Sam Burns comes into this week in great form after finishing fourth at Memorial, where he gained strokes in all four main statistical areas. The last time Burns did that was in 2025, you guessed it, when he finished runner-up at the RBC Canadian Open. I know this seems too easy and too simple, but all signs point to another high finish for Burns this week.
Eric Cole: Top 40, -125
Eric Cole has been playing great golf over the last two months, finishing eighth or better in four of his last five events, including a playoff loss at Colonial. During this timeframe, he is averaging about one stroke gained per round, both on approach and putting. That is a great recipe for consistent results and being near the top of the leaderboard at this course. I fully expect Cole to once again be in contention and ride his hot irons and putter.
