2026 FEGC Minnesota Trip
Details and information regarding Fried Egg Golf Club's trip to Minnesota in September 2026

Donald Ross left his mark across the United States, but few places feature a collection of premier Ross designs like Minnesota.
This fall, we're taking a trip to the land of 10,000 lakes for four days of golf at a variety of Ross designs. First, we trek up to Duluth for a long-awaited visit to the rugged Northland Country Club along the shores of Lake Superior. Then, we head to the northeast suburbs of Minneapolis for a day at the wild White Bear Yacht Club. Day three takes us west to Woodhill Country Club, an under-the-radar Ross that was just restored by Brian Schneider. And finally, we wrap up the trip with a stop at Minneapolis Golf Club, a parkland Ross design where his routing prowess and brilliant green designs shine. Between the golf, we'll be treated to some good-ole' Midwestern hospitality and get to know your fellow FEGC members just a little better.

Course Information
Northland Country Club - Just off the shore of Lake Superior, Northland Country Club is one of Donald Ross's least appreciated designs. The course is routed over extremely rocky terrain, making it every bit a hike as it is a round of golf. Routed like a highway climbing through a mountain pass, NCC is an eye-popping trek with tremendous architecture throughout.
White Bear Yacht Club - With some of the wildest terrain in American golf, White Bear Yacht Club's design shows how big topographical movements can be used in a cohesive manner. It's not the longest course we'll see, but the elevation change and dramatic natural features make WBYC a wonderful test of golf.
Woodhill Country Club - Located in a crowded neighborhood with Interlachen, Hazeltine, and Minneapolis Golf Club, Woodhill Country Club is an overlooked Ross design recently uncovered by a restoration by Brian Schneider. Its hilltop location and rocky landscape make it every bit the course as its neighbors and one that is going to start turning heads as more people visit post restoration.
Minneapolis Golf Club - With a more gentle property than some of the others on our trip, Minneapolis Golf Club is a Ross design that relies more on strategic bunkers and great greens to provide its challenge. With sharp angles and various green shapes, this is a strong parkland end to our journey.
Travel Information
AIRPORTS - We recommend that everyone fly into Minneapolis St. Paul International Airport (MSP) and travel up to Duluth for our day at Northland. Traveling out of Minneapolis will be easy on Thursday afternoon following our day at Minneapolis Golf Club.
LODGING - Participants have plenty of options throughout the trip and we will coordinate travel as a group once registered. We will recommend that everyone stay in Duluth on Monday night, drive down to Minneapolis on Tuesday morning, and stay in Minneapolis Tuesday and Wednesday night.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I sign up as a single? - Yes! Historically, about 30-40% of our fields are singles who we pair up based off similar skill levels and competitive interest.
Is there a handicap requirement? - Absolutely not. There is a pace requirement, but as long as you play quickly we are happy to have anyone and everyone participate in our events.
Are we walking or using carts? - We *highly* recommend walking every course if possible. Carts are included and can be used if you so choose.
Can women enter? - Of course! When we said anyone and everyone, we meant it.
What is your refund policy? - Refunds for the FEGC Minnesota Trip will be issued when your spot is filled on the waitlist. Your registration will be refunded minus a 5% processing fee
