2027 FEGC St. Andrews Trip
Details and information regarding Fried Egg Golf Club's 2027 trips to St. Andrews, Scotland

When it comes to international golf travel, one location is an absolute must: the home of golf.
In 2027, we're taking a group of FEGC members to St. Andrews for a week of amazing golf and cultural experiences. The group will be in the same hotel in downtown St. Andrews for the entire trip, only shuttling out to golf courses in the area and returning to town for dinner and nightlife. And while the Old Course is not guaranteed in this itinerary, the trip is structured to allow for maximum opportunities to see it iconic venue.

**This trip is priced at $1.33 USD to £1.00 and is dependent on the exchange rate leading into the trip. The quote is valid as long as the exchange rate stays between $1.28 and $1.38 to £1.00. If the exchange rate falls outside that parameter we will reprice the trip. The final price will also be adjusted should any course change rates (higher or lower) between now and the trip.
Travel Information
Airports - All participants will fly into and out of Edinburgh International Airport (EDI). Transportation will be provided from start to (nearly) finish, including to and from all rounds of golf and between locations. The only transportation you are required to cover is the short 10-minute Uber or cab to the airport on the day of departure.
Hotels - All participants will have premium accommodations throughout our trip. We'll spend all seven nights in the heart of St. Andrews at the Arran House Hotel.
Course Information
Carnoustie Golf Links - An eight-time host of the Open Championship, Carnoustie is often regarded as one of the most difficult championship tests. And yet, despite its difficulty, Carnoustie's architecture and design is world-class and worthy of its acclaim.
Panmure Golf Club - Compared to its Open Championship rota neighbor Carnoustie Panmure offers a pure Scottish experience with its traditions, historic clubhouse, and one of the country’s great stretches of golf.
Elie Golf House Club - If you’re interested in an authentic links course filled with quirks and adventurous shots, don't look past Elie. Without a par 5 on the scorecard, it's a cult favorite for areason.
Crail Golfing Society (Balcomie Links) - Originally laid out by Old Tom Morris himself, Crail is an old-school kind of authentic Scottish links. The course is out on the point with only the North Sea to its east, an escape from reality in the best way.
Kingsbarns - A modern twist for this trip, Kingsbarns is a 2000 Kyle Philips design that took a tired layout and infused life back into the club. The course is an annual host of the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship
New Course at St. Andrews - Arguably the most under-appreciated course in the world as its overshadowed by its more famous brother, the New Course at St. Andrews is older than most golf courses in America and home to some of the most strategic golf in Scotland.
Old Course at St. Andrews (if you win the ballot) - The grand daddy of them all.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does the registration process work?
Due to the limited spots available on the trip, we are using a lottery for this registration. FEGC members can register as a single, twosome, or foursome for the lottery. At least one player of the twosome has to be an FEGC member and at least two players of a foursome have to be FEGC members.
Can I sign up a non-FEGC member?
Yes. If you register for a twosome, you are allowed to bring one non-FEGC member. If you register for a foursome, two players in the group are allowed to be non-FEGC members.
Is lodging included?
Yes, seven nights of lodging are included on the trip. Participants will stay at the Marcus Hotel in Portrush, the Slieve Donard at Royal County Down for one night, and the Grand Malahide on the final night before departures from Dublin International Airport.
Is airfare included?
No, participants will organize their own airfare. We'll take transportation from there!
Is ground transportation included?
Absolutely. Once you get yourself to EDI, we'll have a van waiting and organize all transportation between the hotel and the golf.
Can I play the Old Course on this trip?
While it is not guaranteed, we structured this trip to provide the maximum amount of opportunities for you to win the ballot and play the Old Course. In 2025, more than half of our trip won the ballot and played the Old Course in addition to the itinerary.
Why is there a price range for the estimated cost?
This trip is priced at the current USD to £ exchange and is dependent on the exchange rate leading into the trip. The quote is valid as long as the exchange rate stays within $0.05 on either side of the current rate the price will be valid. If the exchange rate falls outside that parameter we will reprice the trip. The final price will also be adjusted should any course change rates (higher or lower) between now and the trip.
How does payment work?
Upon being selected from the lottery, a $3,000 deposit per player is due to secure your spot. The balance will be due approximately four months ahead of the trip. Participants will be sent invoices with the option to use ACH payments or use a credit card with an additional processing fee.
What is the refund policy?
Refunds will be issued only when the spot on the trip is replaced by another FEGC member. At that time, a refund will be issued minus any processing fees incurred.
