A total of 16 spots are available on this trip. Due to the small size, participants will be selected via a lottery. You can enter as a single, twosome, or foursome

**This trip is priced at $1.15 USD to €1.00 and is dependent on the exchange rate leading into the trip. The quote is valid as long as the exchange rate stays between $1.10 and $1.20 to €1.00. If the exchange rate falls outside that parameter we will reprice the trip. The final price will also be adjusted should any course change rates (higher or lower) between now and the trip.

Travel Information

Airports - All participants will fly into and out of Dublin International Airport (DUB). Transportation will be provided from start to (nearly) finish, including to and from all rounds of golf and between locations. The only transportation you are required to cover is the short 10-minute Uber or cab to the airport on the day of departure.

Hotels - All participants will have premium accommodations throughout our trip. We'll spend four nights at the Marcus Hotel in Portrush, one night at the Slieve Donard at Royal County Down, and two nights at the Grand Hotel Malahide north of Dublin before departure.

Course Information

Royal Portrush (Dunluce Links) - With Old Tom Morris and Harry Colt responsible for its design, Royal Portrush stands as one of the most iconic links in the world. It's also among the most unique. With dramatic landforms and a unique routing for a links course, the three-time Open Championship venue presents an Irish twist on the traditional links venue to provide a one-of-a-kind experience.

Royal County Down Golf Club - Arguably the greatest golf course in the world. No matter what you believe is the best, Royal County Down's design stands out due to its ability to maximize brilliant strategy on an incredible property. With sand swept dunesland and a naturally raw property, RCD proves itself at every turn.

Portmarnock Golf Club - Minutes from downtown Dublin, Portmarnock Golf Club might be the truest links test in all of Ireland. It doesn't have the huge dunes you'll find on the southwest or northern coasts, but it does have tremendous architecture and an extensive history. Tucked away on a peninsula against the Irish Sea, Portmarnock has hosted a Walker Cup, 19 Irish Opens, and is on tap to likely host an Open Championship in the near future.

Portstewart Golf Club (Strand Course) - You could say the front nine at Portstewart's Strand Course is the best opening nine in the world and you'd have a leg to stand on. Rerouted by a local school teacher to include seven dramatic dunesland holes, the Strand Course is among the more eye-popping examples of golf course architecture you'll ever see.

Castlerock Golf Club (Mussenden) - An underrated stop in Northern Ireland that combines classic linksland with some great dunes holes. The course offers a look at a true local members club for the area and quirky architecture throughout. It also has a wonderful short course, the Baan Course,

County Louth Golf Club (Baltray) - Halfway between Dublin and Belfast sits the town of Baltray, an under-the-radar town with an amazing golf course. County Louth won't blow you away with water views and huge dunes, but its strategy and conditioning will have you thinking about it for years to come. Its more approachable dunes and mounds are very playable and provide a seemingly attainable challenge, although one wrong move has you in a world of trouble.

The Island Golf Club - Just a few miles north of Portmarnock, The Island flies a little under the radar for visitors who are often making their way north to visit Royal County Down and Royal Portrush. Like Portmarnock, its peninsula (not a real island) features terrific dunes and a wild setting that is open to the elements.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the registration process work?

Due to the limited spots available on the trip, we are using a lottery for this registration. FEGC members can register as a single, twosome, or foursome for the lottery. At least one player of the twosome has to be an FEGC member and at least two players of a foursome have to be FEGC members.

Can I sign up a non-FEGC member?

Yes. If you register for a twosome, you are allowed to bring one non-FEGC member. If you register for a foursome, two players in the group are allowed to be non-FEGC members.

Is lodging included?

Yes, seven nights of lodging are included on the trip. Participants will stay at the Marcus Hotel in Portrush, the Slieve Donard at Royal County Down for one night, and the Grand Malahide on the final night before departures from Dublin International Airport.

Is airfare included?

No, participants will organize their own airfare. We'll take transportation from there!

Is ground transportation included?

Absolutely. Once you get yourself to EDI, we'll have a van waiting and organize all transportation between the hotel and the golf.

Why is there a price range for the estimated cost?

This trip is priced at the current USD to € exchange and is dependent on the exchange rate leading into the trip. The quote is valid as long as the exchange rate stays between $0.05 on either side of the current rate the price will be valid. If the exchange rate falls outside that parameter we will reprice the trip. The final price will also be adjusted should any course change rates (higher or lower) between now and the trip.

How does payment work?

Upon being selected from the lottery, a $3,000 deposit per player is due to secure your spot. The balance will be due approximately four months ahead of the trip. Participants will be sent invoices with the option to use ACH payments or use a credit card with an additional processing fee.

What is the refund policy?

Refunds will be issued only when the spot on the trip is replaced by another FEGC member. At that time, a refund will be issued minus any processing fees incurred.
