FEGC SW Michigan Trip
A two-day retreat to kick off the summer in Southwest Michigan

There is some great golf to be had in Southwest Michigan. To kick off the summer, we're experiencing the two best courses the region has to offer. First, we'll meet up for lunch and take a spin around Tom Doak's wild greens at Lost Dunes Golf Club. That night, we'll visit our friends at Journeyman Distillery for a private dinner and a putting contest on Welter's Folly. On Day 2, we'll take over Dunes Club for 36 holes of match play. Tucked away in the trees of New Buffalo, this is a private experience that is hard to beat. And we get to experience it all with a small group of fellow FEGC members.

Registration Information
Due to the small size of our field on this trip, we will be instituting a lottery for the 32 spots available. Lottery entries will be accepted from Noon ET on Wednesday, January 14 until midnight on January 15. Winners will be announced on Friday, January 16.
When entering the lottery, enter either as a single or two person entry. Or both if you'd like to come regardless of whether or not your number is called with a partner. Entering for multiple spots as a single does not increase your odds. We will eliminate duplicates before conducting the lottery.
Included in Registration:
18 holes at Lost Dunes Golf Club
36 holes at Dunes Club
Caddie fees and gratuity for 36 holes at Dunes Club
Lunch and drinks at Lost Dunes
Private dinner with drinks at Journeyman Distillery
Breakfast, lunch, pizza, snacks, and plenty of cold beverages at Dunes Club
Tee gifts and prizes from Fried Egg Golf and our partners

Our event in SW Michigan is a 54-hole extravaganza. Playing in two-man teams, we'll play a "qualifying" best ball round at Lost Dunes before shifting over to match play for two rounds at Dunes Club. All rounds will be best ball. Once your team loses in the match play bracket, you'll continue to play throughout the day and get the most out of our trip.
Course Information
Dunes Club
The Dunes Club was Mike Keiser's foray into golf and offers an intimate hangout and the ultimate match-play layout. There are no tee markers, just nine holes and unlimited possibilities.
"The Dunes Club provides a terrific experience because it’s all about the golf. It’s a walking-only club with charming food offerings, a friendly staff, and a relaxing atmosphere. This is a place you visit to appreciate its intrinsic beauty and its historical significance in the modern era of golf development. Without the Dunes Club, we probably wouldn’t have gotten Bandon Dunes." - From Andy Johnson's Fried Egg Golf Club Course Profile on Dunes Club.
Lost Dunes
Right down the road, Lost Dunes is a Tom Doak original and offers a look at some of Doak's biggest and boldest. The course greets you with massive fairways but demands accuracy in your approach. Its green complexes are classic Doak, and may even be among his most daring. But while they are wild, the greens all play into the strategic nature of their hole and reward a properly struck shot. Even with the green complexes that need to be seen to be believed, the property's sand dunes steal the show, highlighted in a dramatic finish that navigates some of the most undulating parts of the property. It's a tremendous place to spend a day and will make for the perfect start to our trip.
Around New Buffalo
Experience Small Town Michigan - The Southwest coast of Michigan is one of of the most beautiful areas of the country. With boutique hotels, small downtowns, and many mom-and-pop establishments, the entire region is a joy to visit. Make sure to get a burger at Redamak's.
Warren Course at Notre Dame - While the travel isn't all that direct, making a trip to see Coore and Crenshaw's Warren Course at Notre Dame is a must. It is less than an hour drive from New Buffalo to Notre Dame.

Please note that both golf courses are in the Eastern Time Zone.
