Format

Multiple formats. We will have a morning two-person competition followed by an afternoon foursome competition. The Spring Festival isn't meant to be the most competitive event in the world but we will have prizes to compete for throughout the day.

Course Information

Soule Park Golf Course - Few places in America are as serene as the Ojai Valley, let alone a golf course in the Ojai Valley. On the east end of Ojai, Soule Park is a bastion of sustainable golf course architecture. But it's path hasn't been a smooth one. A flood in the winter of 2005 nearly took down the course for good. But after years of hard work, a renovation by Gil Hanse and Jim Wagner, and new management, Soule Park is a thriving design that's central to its local community. Its green complexes and land movement are terrific, but its and the labor of love required to save the course are the real reason you need to experience its brilliance.

Around Soule Park

Dodgers v. Cubs - Are you a baseball fan? The Dodgers are hosting the Cubs for a three-game series on April 24-26. Friday night is an evening game and Sunday is a day game. It's a great chance to see the 2026 World Series champions and the Dodgers. Additional baseball is also available early the following week as the Marlins are in town for a three-game set on Monday-Wednesday.

Rustic Canyon - If you're coming in from out of town, don't leave the LA area without stopping by Rustic Canyon.

Central Coast Wineries - Real Central California is a rich region for wineries, all of which are a very manageable drive from Ojai. Whether you want to stop into Santa Barbara or go north through San Luis Obispo and Paso Robles, there is something for everyone.

Travel Information

Airports - For most people traveling in, the Los Angeles airports are your best bets for flights from around the country. Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), John Wayne Airport (SNA), and Hollywood Burbank (BUR) are all between 90 minutes and two hours from Ojai. If you are located on the western half of the United States, you may also be able to find a flight into Santa Barbara Airport (SBA). Santa Barbara is not only a delightful town but also under an hour to Ojai.

Hotels - There are numerous options in and around Ojai. If you want to stay as close to Soule Park as possible and even walk to the course, look at the Hummingbird Inn or Casa Ojai. Both are directly across the street from the entrance to the course. Down in Ventura, 20-30 minutes from Soule Park, you'll find some budget friendly options like the Hilton Garden Inn. You can also go for a more luxurious stay at the historic Ojai Valley Inn, a terrific option for anyone coming in with a plus one who is in need of a spa day. Ojai and the surrounding area is also a great place for unique Airbnb's and VRBO rentals.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to be an FEGC member to sign up? Nope! Fried Egg Golf Club members have 24 hours of early registration but everyone is welcome to enter our events. If an event is full, toss your name on a waitlist and we'll fill as people need to drop out.

Can I sign up as a single? - Yes! Historically, about 30-40% of our fields are singles who we pair up based off similar skill levels and competitive interest.

How many spots can I reserve? - Each FEGC member can reserve up to two spots during early registration. Public registrations can reserve up to four spots.

Is there a handicap requirement? - Absolutely not. There is a pace requirement, but as long as you play quickly we are happy to have anyone and everyone participate in our events.

Can women enter? - Of course! When we said anyone and everyone we meant it.

What is your refund policy? - Refunds can be requested up to 30 days out of the event. Your registration will be refunded minus a 5% processing fee
