Mountain Ridge Country Club
Donald Ross + Andrew Green = One of the Tri-State's finest

Andrew Green has made a name for himself in recent years with restoration work, specifically championship Donald Ross restoration work. From Inverness to Oak Hill to East Lake, Green has recovered many Ross greats and made them shine. In New Jersey, that project is Mountain Ridge Country Club. And this summer, we get to experience all it has to offer.
Please note that caddies are required for this event and are to be paid directly on the day of play. You have the option to take a walking caddie or forecaddie and will indicate which during registration.

Course Information
Mountain Ridge Country Club - Designed by Donald Ross and recently restored by Andrew Green, Mountain Ridge Country Club is approachable championship golf. The course isn't as big and brawny as some championship Ross designs like Oakland Hills or Oak Hill, but it's rolling property makes it an impressive visual challenge. Around the greens, a combination of external and internal contouring keep things interesting. In fact, Andrew Green referred to Mountain Ridge's greens as arguably the best putting surfaces he had seen at any Ross course. Needless to say, Mountain Ridge features world-class design from top to bottom.

Additional Golf Available
Essex County Country Club - Tuesday, August 11 - Tee times begin at 10:00 a.m. Cost is $425/player and walking caddies are mandatory. Designed in part by three of the best architects in history - Seth Raynor, Charles Banks, and A.W. Tillinghast - Essex has a deep history and architecture equally as brilliant. Its back nine is often mentioned among the best back nines in golf and its front nine is just as entertaining.
North Jersey Country Club - Tuesday, August 11 - Tee times begin at 10:00 a.m. Cost is $365/player to walk and $395/player to ride. Caddies (walking or forecaddie) are required. A Walter Travis design, North Jersey Country Club is often slept on when thinking about the best courses in the region. It's amazing green complexes and use of above-ground features makes for a constant thrill ride. Brian Schneider has worked on NJCC in recent years and he briefly discussed the changes they made in an episode of the Fried Egg Golf Podcast back in 2020.
